Minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM (Agri Business) is ICAR/UGC recognized graduation in agriculture and allied subjects such agriculture, agriculture engineering, horticulture, veterinary, fisheries, dairy science, dairy technology, Bio-Technology and Food Technology with a minimum OGPA of 5.00 out of 10.00 or 50% aggregate marks or their equivalents. Those who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of their degree by June 30, 2013 can also apply.
Candidates seeking admission have to apply in the prescribed form. The application can be obtained from FABS or it can be downloaded through Internet from this website
The selection will be based on test scores of CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, JMET and CMAT – (Common Entrance Test of AICTE) and personality test. The interview can be taken at the Institute. If needed there may be a written test also covering basic mathematic skills and English written comprehension skills.
The total programme cost for the entire duration of two years is Rs 3, 75,000/– (Rupees Three Lakhs Seventy Five Thousand only). This include tuition fee, computer fee, library membership fee, study material and alumni association membership fee. The fee is payable in four installments – Rs. 25,000/- as admission acceptance fee (Non Refundable), Rs. 25,000/- on the first day of commencement of 1st Trimester, Rs. 1,55,000/- within 30 days of commencement of 1st Trimester and Rs. 1,70,000/- before registering for the 4th Trimester.
Hostel & Mess Fees
Hostel facility is available in campus. The rates will be different for single occupancy and double occupancy. Hoteliers’ will have the facility of mess in the campus. The food and hostel charges for single room accommodation is Rs. 55,000/- per year. It is Rs. 45,000/- per year for student twin occupancy. The payment will be at the beginning of each academic year. Since the single rooms are limited, they will be available on first cum first basis
For all the needy students, FABS will assist in getting the bank loans. In the addition, FABS will also provide some merit-cum-means scholarships in form of partial fee waiver. These will be based on 1st year’s performance.
Students opting for specialization in international agriculture will be helped to do a course in select countries during the 2nd year.
