Dr.M.V.Durga Prasad holds Ph.D specialized in Operations Research from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi after completing his Master’s Degree in Mathematics with specialization in computer science and operations research from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has to his credit several research papers, publications in peer reviewed international and national journals, and international conferences in the area of operations research, Supply Chain Management in agricultural field, Logistics and Game theory. Recently under grant from International Development Research Council, Canada he developed a pricing model for agricultural products which will be a win-win situation for all stakeholders. Also he developed an automated model for marketing of agricultural products which brings transparency in the system. Andhra Pradesh Planning board had invited him to present the automated model. Later under grant from Indian Council for Agricultural Research(ICAR) he had studied “Behavioral Analysis of Farmers Decision Making on Agricultural Innovations” for the two states Karnataka and Gujarat. e-NAM had invited him to become the coordinator in Gujarat to organize training program at 42 APMC’s.
At present his research interests are in the field of agricultural innovations, agri-tourism, technological interventions in post-harvest, and developing agricultural marketing models.
