Two year, fully residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agri Business is a uniquely designed programme that will provide an ideal learning environment, practical interaction with industry and adequate field exposure to enable the development of a breed of young, enterprising agri business professionals to meet the growing industry demand.

The programme will offer three streams of specialization – International Agriculture, Agri Business Finance, and Agri Business Marketing. Each student will be permitted to specialize in two streams – a major stream and a minor stream.

Focus of the Programme
The programme is designed to provide strong inputs in the following focus areas:
  • Market Orientation -- Agriculture and food industries are currently undergoing significant changes. Professionals in these sectors and farmers have to work in a more market orientated environment in order to fulfil consumer expectations and increasing environmental concerns.
  • Business & Management Skills – The programme will equip students with skills, knowledge and attitudes required for a successful manager in the field of agribusiness in the emerging global context.
  • Blend of Basic and Integrated Courses - The programme includes basic courses that help students understand the agriculture and agribusiness sector, core courses that develop required analytical and communication skills in the students, courses in functional areas of management, and integrated courses that help students develop strategic perspective.
  • Rural Exposure –Will provide first hand insights about field level rural realities.
  • Summer Project –Will provide exposure to real-life situations through partnership with industry
  • Entrepreneurial Skills - Unique feature of this programme is to equip entrepreneurial skills to those who want to be job creators rather than job seekers, by setting up agribusiness enterprises, both in India and in other countries.
THE CURRICULUM
The programme consists of three sets of courses: The Core Management Courses, compulsory Agri Business Courses, and courses in specialization streams. These three sets of courses are distributed in six classroom terms.
